Spring has Sprung

The year is already rushing by with gusto. It’s been a cool spring but the flowers and weeds are all sprouting and looking healthy. I just closed a show here in Lawrence, IN at our local gallery. The show was called '“(Slightly) Off Kilter”. It was a collection of my more abstract works all with statements about my thoughts or reactions at the time. Most of them are listed in my gallery work. The location is slightly out of the downtown area and away from the more visited arts district so a lower turnout. The people who did see the show seemed to enjoy and appreciate my work.

Now I’m preparing for two more shows and a booth. The next show is in July at the Southside Art League in Greenwood IN. I’m calling it “Wealth of Warmth” It will be smaller framed work, mostly floral & some abstract. All will be framed because this group is a more traditional. At almost the same time I’ll have a booth in the Arts building at the Marion County Fair grounds for 10 days. This will be small matted work & tiny art. The prices will be very affordable, adjusted for the county fair crowd. Then, in August I will have yet another opportunity to show my larger work at a very nice and roomy galley in Thorntown, IN called Sugar Creek Art Center. I’m calling this show “Floral Vision”. I will post the opening on Facebook & send some email invitations. By this time I’ll be taking a break! Nothing like peddling my paintings to keep me out of trouble!
